Optional website analytics

If you choose “Accept analytics,” Bear & Crane Studio uses Google Analytics 4 to understand visits to this website, including pages viewed, browsing activity and links followed to Etsy. This helps us understand what visitors find useful.

Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as cookie identifiers, device and browser details, referring websites, page visits and approximate location. Google receives your IP address to provide this service; GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. We do not send your name or email address to Analytics. Advertising features, Google signals and ad personalization are disabled in our website tag.

We do not load Google Analytics or send analytics data to Google until you accept. Choosing “Decline analytics” leaves analytics off and does not stop you browsing the artwork or visiting the shop.

Your choice and cookies

We store your analytics choice in this browser’s local storage for up to six months so we can remember it. That preference is stored on your device and is not sent to Google. If you accept, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies, including _ga and a property-specific _ga_ cookie, configured to expire after up to six months.

You can use “Analytics preferences” in the footer at any time to change your choice. Declining after accepting stops future analytics collection, removes this site’s accessible Google Analytics cookies and refreshes the page. It does not remove data already collected. Clearing browser storage, using another browser or reaching the expiry date may prompt you again. If local storage is unavailable, we try session storage for this tab; if neither is available, your choice applies only to the current page and we show a warning. Without JavaScript, analytics stays off.

Google and Etsy

Google processes analytics information on our behalf and may process it in countries outside your own. Learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Purchases take place on Etsy under Etsy’s Privacy Policy. Our website measures outgoing links when analytics is enabled; it does not track completed Etsy purchases or receive payment details through Google Analytics.
